EN 18031 Network Protection, derived from the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED), establishes a clear and enforceable cybersecurity baseline for network-connected devices. Its purpose is to ensure that devices connected to public communication networks do not introduce avoidable cybersecurity risks under default configuration and normal operating conditions.
